Show JONATHAN BO WEN DEAD Was a Pioneer and Well Known. After an illness, lasting seeial weeks, Mr. Jonathan How en passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Samuel U. Thatchei, Thursda morning at 5:30 o'clock. Mr. How on was one of tho earllei settlers in this valley, halng come here and settled at Piov ldence In 18C0. During his life licie he lias cndcaied himself to the hearts of many, who , r will regiet to hear of his death. Mr, Rowcn was sl.t-nlnc jeais of age and ls tho father of nine children, all of whom aie married. Ills family has always al-ways been. considered a most excellent one, ov ideme of the helpful w atchf illness ill-ness bestowed by himself and a loving mother, who died about twelve cars ago. Mr. How en was a natie of Vei-mont Vei-mont and possessed all the stcillng qualities attilbutedto the Puritanic Easterners. He feaied no man, daied speak his thoughts, was honest and upright and in his death the city loses a good citicn. The funeial services will be held at 12 o'clock, noon, Sunday, at the home of Dr. and Mrs. I). C. Hudgc. All the children are here with the exception of Etta Chapln, who Is In California. |
