Show There has been quite a falling off In attendance attend-ance at the Colleges since spring has come, students being called home lo work on farms. In some cases this Is probably unavoidable, but every effort should be made to permit tho students to remain the full terms. The breaking break-ing away from school before the end of the term Is generally accompanied by discouragement discourage-ment on the part of tho students and Is a great loss to them. If parents can bequeath to their children a good education, It will prove of greater worth than wealth; It cannot be squandered. squan-dered. Of the two, property or education, the the latter Is preferable. For the sake of a few days' work on the farm In tho spring, the student's anticipations for an education are often blighted. Parents having sons and daughters approaching their majority should consider well the future before calling them from colleges and other schools. |
