Show Fire1 at Paradise. The home of John J. Robeits at Paradise was burned to the giound last Fiidaj night, nothing but a couple of Hunks being saved. Thcie had been some painting or whitewashing white-washing done on the inside of the building, and a Hie built to diivc away the dampness. The family had vacated the place tempoiaiily, and between 10 and 12 o'clock, tho home was found on lire. The building, an old fiame, binned like tinder, and It was Impossible to lcmove the household house-hold goods. Mr. Roberts lcturned fiom the Samoan mission Held but a shoit time ago bringing with him a laige collection collec-tion of the country's curiosities, and theso were burned also. The loss altogether amounts to sevcial hundred hun-dred dollars and falls heavily on the family. |
