Show A Statement. It having come to our knowledge that certain baseless and misleading rumors regarding the affairs of the First National Rank of Logan are being be-ing circulated throughout the county and state, giving rise to considerable comment and causing in the minds of some a misapprehension of the facts, the undersigned directors of said bank desire, In fairness to their patrons, pa-trons, In Justice to themselves, and In order that those interested may know the truth, to make the following brief statement: Every dollar of the $50,000 capl-tal capl-tal stock of the First National Rank of Logan Is owned and held by well known citizens of Utah, and all except ex-cept $5,000.00 or It by residents of Cache county. The First National is pre-eminently a "home" bank, owned and managed by home people, without a dollar of "foreign" capital In the stock or represented in the directorate. Its board of directors Is composed of the following named gentlemen: gen-tlemen: W. S. McCornlck, Joseph F. Smith, President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, John II. Anderson) James Quayle, Thomas Smart, C. C. Goodwin, Soren Hansen, John II. Davis and Allan M. Fleming. The olllcers of the bank are: W. S. McCornlck, President; James Quayle, Vice-President; Allan M. Fleming, Cashier; George A. Perclval, assistant cashier. With the exception of Mr. Perclval, one of the founders and the tlrst cashier of the bank, who has recently re-cently been secured for the position of assistant cashier, the olllcors are the same who have had charge of and conducted the business of the bank with such signal success during the past seven years. To correct a false report which has in some mysterious way become current, we wish to unqualifiedly un-qualifiedly state that the present officers of-ficers will continue to conduct the business of the bank and that all reports, re-ports, from whatever source emanating, emanat-ing, to the effect that a change of of-llccrs of-llccrs and management arc content-plated.are content-plated.are untrue and without foundation. founda-tion. Under Its present management the bank lias made a record and achieved a success which is entirely en-tirely satisfactory to the directors and stockholders and there Is not now, nor has there been, any intention of making mak-ing a change In its olllcers. At no time in Its history lias the First National Rank been In a more prosperous pros-perous condition or better prepared to clllclently serve Its patrons than at present. Its management and business busi-ness will bo continued along the same careful, safe and conservative, yet liberal lines which have characterized it In Hie past, gained for It so largo a measure of public confidence, established estab-lished its popularity among Its cus tomers and wen for It recognition as one of the leading ttnanclal Institutions Institu-tions of Northern I'tah. The bank will hi the near future take possession of its new and spacious home in the old '.. C. M. 1. building at the corner of Main and First North Streets, where Its officers will be pleased to greet fts patrons and friends and extend a cordial welcome to all who may wish to avail themselves of Its superior facilities for transacting :i banking business.
