Show LOCAL PEOPLE-AT PEOPLE-AT CONVENTION Dr. Robert Stewart of U. A. C. Elected Elect-ed Secretary and Treasurer of Utah Dry Farmers At tho Dry Farmers convention held at Ogden last Week, Dr. Robert Stewart of tho Agricultural Collego was made secretary and treasurer of tho association, and J. F. Paxman of Nephl was mado president to succeed suc-ceed Prof. Lewis A. Merrill. Dr. Stowart gave an ablo paper at tho convention.- In taking tho chemical point of view, said ho considered tho hard and mor0 sturdy wheat tho best for tho farmer, tho consumer nnd tho miller. He explained tho chemical Ingredients of dry farm grains from a scientific standpoint, and maintained main-tained that the soft and tho hard wheats might bo blended and used to good advantage. Others who gave papers wero Henry H. Blood of tho Utah-Idaho Millers association; Dr. F. S. Harris, Dr. E. G. Peterson and Lon. J. Haddock. |
