The relay raco at the Auditorium Wednesday night was won byLawrcnce Kimball. The tlrst mile was raced by Ivan Danlelsen and Cling Curtis, the latter winning. The second mile was between George Green and Archie Stoddard, the last named winning. The third and last struggle came between be-tween Kimball and Owen Smith, the former winning. It is said that there will bo soma big races by foreign talent beforj long. Tonight Kimball and Smith will race. Joseph A Smith Jr , of Providence, who has been directing the Auditorium Auditor-ium band during the past few months, has agreements from the greater portion por-tion of the Logan city band and others of tho first-class band men of the city and In a few days expects to perfect an organization. Joe says Logan city needs a good band and Ills plan is to give us one. That he has the ability to direct, as well as play to perfection, no one will dispute and here's hoping that there will be no hitch that will keep tho city out of n first-class band this summer ' Tneo.
