Show I DOINGS AMONG THE STUDENTS I AND FACULTY AT THE U. A. C. S Last week Friday the Plgma Alphas W had a quasi Dutch lunch in their fra- ternlty room. The new frat members n this year are the following freshmen: Lawrence Came, W.C.RIter and Clare McAllister. The fraternity attended the college play Thursday evening in jfl a body and applauded vociferously the I work or their frat brother, W. B. Pres- ton '09, who played the part of Leu-M Leu-M clppe. M A new club has been recently found- ed at the college to Include all the w women students and women on the faculty. Its object Is to study the re- latlons between domcstlo science and the world and it Is entitled the Home-Seekers' Home-Seekers' Circle. At the first meeting, soon to bo held, Mrs. Sloan will give a talk on "Muslo in the Home." The cross-country running tho past month has developed some excellent long-distanco runners among tho students, stu-dents, among whom stand out Law-renson, Law-renson, Ncbeker and Powell. The usual run Is by the canyon road up to , the power house and then back along fym blurt. His subject last Monday was Beetles," and he will discuss other Insects In connection wlth the nature-study work of the students. Yesterday and today and next Tuesday Tues-day Miss Huntsman, instructor In English, will occupy the chapel period giving talks on Rurns, his life and poems, with readings. An interesting address was given the students in chapel last Saturday morning by tho Rev. Paul Jones on the sublect of "Paul Jones," tho founder of the American navy. Miss Hanson and Miss Mathison of Course 8 in Domestic Science serve this afternoon in the college dining room a high tea to Miss ncrvey.of the New Jersey academy, and her guests. Professor Larson spoke at Hunts-ville Hunts-ville Sunday ovenlng on the subject of the "Bible In Literature and Art." Ills lecture was well attended and much appreciated. Miss Rebecca Crane und Miss Anna Mathison have been awarded the scholarships offered to the college by tho Stato Federation of Woman's clubs. Professor Ball and Professor Northrop North-rop with Mr. Merrill, Mr. Taylor and Miss Lovo aro now In southern Utah, where they will remain threeyceks, holding three five-day schools and several sev-eral institutes. After the theater last Tuesday evening even-ing Professor Walker entertained at a Dutch lunch In his rooms at tho Eagle, Prof. Larson, Prof. E. G.
