Show Antony and Cleopatra. Charles B. Hanford's present production pro-duction Is heralded as one ot the greatest great-est achievements of his remarkable career. The play, "Antony aud Cleopatra, Cleo-patra, which will be seen at the Thatcher opera house on Monday. March .'10, admits of almost unlimited spectacular display, and Mr. Hanford has Improved these opportunities to the fullest possible extent. Special scenery representing tho architectural glories of ancient Egypt and Rome affords a background for dazzling costumes, cos-tumes, worn not only by the regal and patrician figures about whom the immortal im-mortal story is told, but by courtiers, dancers, musicians and slaves. The dance3 are arranged by M. F. Trostlcr, whose fame for enterprises of, this kind extends throughout the country; and tho plotorlal and lighting light-ing effects are under the charge of A. O. Buck. The music was arranged by Emit Mori Alexander Mackenzie and John M. Kline, who were so highly esteemed for their work with Mr. Hanford last year, are still with the company. Tho role of Cleopatra Is being played with brilliant results by Miss Allco Wilson. |
