Show Wellsville Vicinity WELLSVILLE, March 18. On Tuesday, March 17, the relief society of this ward held its annual meeting, where a most Interesting program was rendered. The attendance was not so large as it should have been, owing to much sickness among tho people. On Monday evening, the Home Dramatic Dra-matic company presented tho four-act drama, "Saved," to a large and appreciative appre-ciative audience. Those present say that this was one of the best plays that has appeared here during the season, and that the players certainly did themselves credit. We have good talent here and need not go far away to see a good, first-class show. The proceeds go to help defray the expense of the new organ, which has lately been placed In the new tabernacle. Marie, the 10-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James N. Maughan, has been seriously III the past month with, leakage of the heart and pneumonia. She is thought to be slowly improving. During the past ten days she has also had an attack of the measles, and at this time her mother and their older child, Clinton, are also very 111 with the same disease. Much sympathy is expressed for the family and hopes for the recovery of their only daughter. There seems to be considerable sickness sick-ness In our midst at present, about seventy-cases of measles being reported. report-ed. Up to this time a strict quarantine quaran-tine has been effected, but at a meeting meet-ing of the city council held Monday night It was tho decision of the health board and those present to allow the children of the families under quarantine, quaran-tine, who aro not allllcted with measles, tn attend until the first symptons appear. This will have a tendency to Increase the dally attendance attend-ance at school, which for the past three weeks has been quite low, especially espe-cially In the three primary schools. On Monday, March 11, Daniel P. Maughan of this city, and MIssAllle Lloyd, of Mt. Sterling, two highly respected re-spected young people, were married in the Logan temple Last night (Tuesday) (Tues-day) a number of their young friends assembled at the groom's home, and spent it very pleasant evening, also partaking of a delicious supper. Mr. and Mrs. Maughan will leave today tor St. Anthony, whero they will remain re-main for an indefinite time. They have the best wishes of a host of friends. Last Sunday the Sunday school stake board met at Wellsville and arranged tho programs for the Sunday school conferences to bo held In the different wards of the stake In the near future.
