Show Building Character From August Farm Journal. Substantial houses have teen built in a day on a wager, but character can not be built that way. It Is a virtue of slow growth, made up like the coral islands of little dally accretions. One's reputation is the estimate of the neighbors, but a man's character is what he really Is. There Is no finer field In the world for the development of character than on the farm. That Is why so many of the men who have done great work for their country and their time, have been country bred. It you are building up character in your sons and daughters, you .are doing do-ing the grandest, noblest work that can fall to the hand of man. Plowing, sowing, reaping" and storing In barns-all barns-all else Is Incidental. Think of this brother farmers. |
