The week just passed has been a gala one fr the boys and girls here, Socials, parties and dances, with a big banquet to closelritli Monday Mon-day night, completed thV'closing days of the Richmond School ior 1!)07., The first event occurred Thursday, May 23, when about seventy friends of Leo Shepard completely surprised him nt his home. Following this, n few days later, Miss Marion Merrill entertained enter-tained mo-il successfully the eight grade class of 1907. .The seventh grade's entertaining of the eighth grade classes was a special feature given in the school house. A .seventeen piece program pro-gram was rendered and a supper worthy to'tempt the most fastidious fastidi-ous appetite was served. The school presenting the Cantata "Zanio," with Crystabell Paty. Edith Bullen, Tenuie Hendricks, Pearl Felt man. Snrab Erickson and Flossie Webb taking the leading parts, should have special mention, vbile the class exercises Saturday should by all means not be forgotten. Monday night, tiro Alumni Association gave its nn-uual nn-uual banquet and ball, the former held in the School house, ,wh?rc Miss Burnliam had plates set for one hupdred and fifty invited hungry ones. However, they showed up quite well, only ;two out of the class failing to pass successful examinations. "J. 1. " ". 1 The many friends of Isaac Smith, brother to the Smith Brothers of this place, will be pleased to know that he is recovering recov-ering from his operation for appendicitis ap-pendicitis at a Logan hospital, und will go back to his home in Idaho again in a very short time. Miss Ellen Thomas, whose voice charmed aLognn audience recently, was a visitor with her rebitivesf here last week. , The Butte Packing Co., through it's ngent, Parker, purchased a car of hogs and veals last week from Butcher.
