Show HYRUM TQ CELEBRATE FOURTH HYRUM. June . At the city council Monday evening it was decided de-cided to celebrate the Fourth of July here In grand style, and accordingly a Qn general committee was appointed to ' make arrangements for that purpose. The following committee was appointed: ap-pointed: T. W. Petersen, O. M. Wilson, Wil-son, J. W. Jensen, E. J. -Haws, Anna M. Ralph, Louisa Bradley and Rose Llljeuquist. This' committee is cm-1 cm-1 powered to call as much helpas needed to, make the celebration a success On that day we expect, to show the people s a good time. A paving district has been cstab- llshed In our city. By lequest of a majority of the property-holders on the north side of Main street, 'it has .been decided to pave that sidewalk from Center street to Second West, and arrangements are being made for that purpose. This spirit of improvement improve-ment should be encouraged and supported. sup-ported. Last Saturday evening commencement commence-ment exercises cf the district school were heid (ln the stake house and a splendid program was rendered. Elder Lorln McBrlde has returned from a two years' mission to the eastern east-ern states. He labored .In New York state one year and the balance ot the time In Toronto, Canada. He reports having had an enjoyable time. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Christiansen are here from Downev, Idaho, visiting friends and relatives. |
