Show Wellsville. WELLSVILLE, Sept. 20, 1900. Our school trustees hae been successful success-ful In securing the services of Mr. Gcorgo Harding, of Willard, Boxclder county, for principal of our schools. He Is u gentleman of high educational attainments and our cltlens arc satis-fled satis-fled that he will make a success of our schools for another year. The schools commenced on Monday, tho 24th, with the following teachers: George Harding, principal; Helen Lea than), Sarah Darley, Maud Williamson, Wil-liamson, Mllllo Maughan, Mary Allen, and Mrs. Jane Walters teaching in the East school. Politics. Tho republican primary was held tonight with the following results: Delegates to the conentlon on Saturday: Satur-day: William II. Maughan, S. P. nail, N. G. Allan, Gcorgo F. Phillips, Alexander Alex-ander Spence. Wm. Garrett, W. It. Baldwin, J. A. Leatham, Thomas A. Kerr, Heber Parker, Robert Brown, Alex Archibald, W. 0. Uronchly, C. N. Maughan. B P. Hall was nominated for precinct Justice, with David W. Jones as precinct pre-cinct constable. Thero was very little opposition and a very good feeling generally gen-erally provalled through tho meeting. Congressman Howell and son William Wil-liam paid a visit to their old homo on Tuesday. Thomas Olive and wife, of Pocatello, aro visiting their relatives and friends in our city. Bishop Kennedy and Brother Andrew, An-drew, of tho Woodruff stake, have paid a visit to Alexander Spcnco and family. Tho hum of the threshing machine Is heard all around us. Many of tho farmers have commenced beet digging and every person is busy. |
