The Interest Is widespread and Intense, thero being be-ing the possibility of several strong v contests. These are all friendly, how- ever, and thero docs not now seem danger of any "ruction." There Is talk !PP' of a "dark horse," but It Is not probable prob-able that another will get Injho race at this time. W. II. Mauglun is said to be the only aspirant from the south for the house. In the center there are four active candidates II. A. Pcdorscn, Jos. A. Smith, Y. W. McLaughlin and the editor of this paper N. II. Moore. ' , Id tho north B. A. Hendricks Is mentioned for the house, also Jos. S. Allen, T. II. Merrill and Jos. J. Rich-ardson. Rich-ardson. Whether any of these aro S active candidates we do not know. For recorder, Richmond Is standing solidly behind Miss Sarah Merrill. Mrs. Maggie Morchcad and Mrs. Lucretia Ooynton, of Smltjiflcld, desire the nomination also.
