Will Be Open to MlneralEntry Only. an immense area of Wyoming ia involved in-volved in a decision rendered Friday by Assistant Commissioner Richards of the general land office, on recommendations recom-mendations for the suspension of the agricultural entry of 153 townships in the Douglas land district, additional to twenty-four townships suspended by the Commissioner November 10 1900. The decision relieves from the suspension sus-pension four of the townships suspended sus-pended November 10, 1900; suspends forty-two townships from agricnltural entry, and denies requests of petitioners petition-ers for the suspension of the remaining remain-ing townships. The forty-two town-Bhips town-Bhips now suspended aggregate 967 -670 acres. These townships, according to the decision, appear to contain oil in pay ng quantities, or such evidences of th existence of oil as would justify th suspensiod from present disposi' under the agricultural laws, thi-portumty thi-portumty may be given to d them as mineral, |
