The catastrophe occurred at 4 o'clock in thn afternoon. The roundhouse- and station were swept away, seven lives were lost and two persons injured. Most of the people escaped him, but several wore severely Injured. Reynolds smashed windows and ran Into houses and stores, driving out tho occupants. Ho was captured by a crowd of citizens, who put a rope around his neck and threatened to lynch him. He was rescued by some of the cooler-headed residents of tho place and landed In jail. r |
