Show There is nothing the matter with the west and the man who says it is down at the hip is talking in his sleep. It is to tho weat that the ambitious youth of tho land must ere long turn for those opportunities in life which day by dav are growing rarer and rarer in the ovei-crowded ovei-crowded east. It is to the west that the immigrant from tho old world must soon journey in order to find tho home which he seeks in the new. And in tho near future it is from the great west, with its vast areas'of territory, with itsinexhaus-tible itsinexhaus-tible treasures of gold, ulver and copper, of lead and coal and iron, with its immense im-mense forestB of timber, with its great rivers and water powers, and with its wonderful variety of soil and its matchless match-less climate, that must come a very largo share of tho wealth and resouices which aro tahold us in the front rank as tho richest and most impregnable nation upon tho face of the earth.
