Cox, the Democratic candidate for president, in his western campaign tour contended that ; the methods of handling dis- putes between labor and capital developed during his governor- ship of Ohio can be applied to national as well as state situa- tions. e "As long as men work for hire," declared the governor, "there will be differences of opinion between those who labor and those who employ labor.
