Show State Bank takes over lead in Senior Little League race pitcher in this contest, as he gave up five hits to the Parowan Paro-wan crew. State Eank scored twice in the first inning, but Parowan came back to tie the score at 2 all in the top of the third. In the bottom of the frame, State Bank scored two more to regain the lead and held on for the victory. Hulet suffered the loss for Parowan. Utah International 14, TWA 0. Smarting from their loss earlier in the week UI came storming back with a shutout victory behind the pitching of Brad Blackner. He gave up only three hits in the contest. Ten of UI's tallies came in the fourth frame on seven hits, all singles. They collected 13 hits in all. California Pacific 12, Cedar Glass 4. The utility boys took a commanding early lead in the contest and scored an easy victory. They led 10-0 after four frames. All of Cedar Glass' tallies came in the fifth on just two hits. Hirschi and Smith combined for the pitching pitch-ing honors. Utah International 5, Parowan Paro-wan 4. UI was again tested to the limit Monday evening as they scored a come from be hind victory over Parowan. The game was scoreless thru three innings of play. UI scored scor-ed first in the fourth frame with a single run, but a home run by Lamoreaux in the fifth knotted the score and Paro-wan Paro-wan scored the go ahead run in that frame to lead 2-1. In the sixth Parowan pushed in another run only to have UI come back with three of their own to knot the score at 4-all at the end of six innings. Parowan again got in the scoring column in the top of the seventh to lead by one. Felix of UI tied the score with a home run. Blackner got a-board a-board on an error and came on to score the winning run with two out in the frame. Lee Holmes hurled the victory vic-tory giving up only one hit in the contest over the previously previous-ly league leading UI club. Meanwhile SUM belted out nine hits to push in their 13 runs and an easy victory. Following is a rundown of other games during the week: Canyonlands 10, Parowan 3. Five of the Canyonlands runs came in the third frame to give them a 6-1 lead and they coasted on to the victory. Neilson was the winning pit-cher. pit-cher. Gallaway of Canyonlands Canyon-lands homered in the second frame for the first score of the game. State Bank, behind the one-hit one-hit pitching of Bret Smith scored a 9-0 victory over Del Rich. It was a scoreless game through three innigs of play and State Bank got on the boards in the fourth with four runs on four hits. Rick Rollo suffered the loss. Del Rich 8, Cedar Glass 5. Del Rich gave up four runs in the first frame but settled down to allow Cedar Glass but one other run as they pulled away to a victory. Cedar Glass had only three hits in the contest. con-test. TWA pushed in six runs In the first inning of play a-gainst a-gainst California-Pacific and the utility team had to scratch and scramble to come back to tie the score at 8-all with a pair of runs in the sixth frame. They carried that into the seventh pushing In five runs to score a 13-8 victory, but not without a fight. Mound victory went to Mid-dleton Mid-dleton who came on in relief of starter Brian Hirschi. Bryan Jackson gave up three hits and pitched his team, Canyonlands, to a 7-0 shutout victory over Southern Utah Mortuary.
