Drill team at PHS wins trophies Twelve marching Rammet-tes Rammet-tes attended the 1973 Inter-mountain Inter-mountain Drill Team Workshop Work-shop at Utah State University in Logan. They brought home two trophies: one for overall superior evalution; and one for a prepared competitive march which was taken from home. They also took" 34 superior sup-erior ribbons and 30 excellent ratings for individual performance per-formance of the girls in var ious competitive evalution. This year 84 drill teams from Arizona, California, Nev. da, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, Alaska and Utah were represented repre-sented at the five-day instruc tional and competitive clinic. Among the trophy winners Missoula, & Helena, Mont; Burley & Boise, Idaho; Layton Bear River, and Lehi, Utah. Marchers participating were Laurene Dalley, Valynne Bent. ley, Christi Burton, Wendy Robinson, Holly Robinson, Karen Van Ausdal, Denise Benson, Wendy Stolk, Laura Barton, Louise Davenport, Julie Ju-lie Bentley, De Ann Stapley. . They were accompanied by Leilani Bentley, advisor, and Mrs. Marlene Burton as dorm chaperone for the marchers and cheerleaders who were sharing facilities at Merrill Hall on the USU campus. |
