One of the more spectacular spectacu-lar holes has been planted with trout, bass and a few salmon, creating beautiful Lake Quit-' Quit-' cherbitchln. Record catches are now being reported, with most legal baits producing results. lng spots In Iron County, such as Rush Lake, Quitchapa, and New Castle Reservoir (before it was drained). As you can see from this, we at the mines have not been sitting sit-ting idly by, but are making the most of what others might consider con-sider our misfortunes. REX HARRIS Boats with motors are banned from the new lake, but floating devices are permitted and recommended re-commended for reaching those deep holes where the big ones lie (the fish, not the fishermen). As the lake becomes more popular a new recreation resort and real estate development are envisioned with 5 swimming swim-ming pools, 4 golf courses, 100 condominium units, a shopping center, and a bridal path. It is also planned to offer the site to the County as compromise compro-mise location for the new court house. It has not been decided whether to wait for 1976 and a new election, or to ask Parowan Parow-an to annex the area. If this is not successful, a move will be started to move the Mormon Temple from St. George. As the attached picture shows the new lake Is an actuality, and is adding to the list of fish- |
