Show At Valley View Mental Health Service facilities open community and the surrounding area. The Valley View Medical Center is pleased to announce the opening of an 8 bed Mental Health Service Facility, September Sep-tember 2. The purpose of this service (directed by a psychiatrist but to, which all staff physicians may admit patients) is to handle all types of psychiatric cases, instituting in-stituting general and specific programs of care for each individual. in-dividual. In the past, those requiring this type of care have had to be sent to the Provo and Salt Lake area, making follow-up outpatient care difficult, if not impossible. Mrs. Ted (Ann) Aaron, R.N., has been named nursing coordinator coor-dinator and will head a staff of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and assigned psychiatric technicians in inpatient in-patient care at the hospital. As is the policy of the hospital, there will be no discrimination as to admission and the rights of each patient will be preserved. Much of the responsibility for behaviour and care will, in fact, remain with the patient himself. It is the hope of all concerned that this new unit will fill a valuable service to those in the |
