Show RECEIVE TOP RATING. The Acappella and Madrigal Choirs from Cedar High School received a 1-plus rating at Region Large Group Festival staged in Cedar City last week. Rating is highest given by ajudicators. Vocal groups at Cedar High score high in region event College adjudicated at the festival. Seventy CHS students participated with the Acappella and Madrigal choirs. Commenting on the Acap-pella's Acap-pella's performance Dr. Johnson stated, "This year's choir is the best I've ever heard from Cedar. I consider them to be one of the best two choirs in the state." Cedar High's Acapella and Madrigal choirs, under the direction of Mrs. Shirley Roper, received a 1 plus rating at the I Region 8 Large Group Festival. The festival was held at Cedar . High on Wednesday, May 1. Thirteen Class A and AA schools participated in the choral competition. A 1 plus rating in such competition com-petition is the highest possible rating and denotes a superior performance. The festival marked the first time that the Acappella and Madrigal choirs have earned a 1 plus rating, although they have received several 1 ratings in past years.
