Show William B. Daly, dies; Funeral Services held in Panguitch Impressive funeral services were held for Walter B. Daly age 83, Monday November 29, Daly died Saturday November 27, in a Richfield nursing home of causes incident to age. Mr, Daly was born Feb, 11, 1893 in Panguitch, to Thomas and Ellen Lister Riding Daly. He married Hazel Kirk Worthen July 24, 1912 in Panguitch, She died Aug, 17, 1921. He married Margaret DeLong Sharp July 14, 1926 in St. George. She died June 2, 1965. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a former member of the Utah House of representatives where he served in 1948 and 49. He was Garfield County Democratic chairman for many years, and had held positions on both the Panguitch City Council and the Garfield County Commission. Com-mission. He was a past president and charter member of the Panguitch Lions Club. He had also owned and operated a sporting goods store in Panguitch. Survivors include sons and daughters, Walter Kirk, Mrs. Woodrow (Clarice) Talbot both of Salt Lake City. Albert Victor, Kaysville; Ned B, Beaver; Mrs. E. C. (Reta) Roth LDS Missionary, Nova Scotia; Mrs. Zella Pritchard, Pomona, Calif. Mrs. Arthur (Hazel Dawn) Evans, Parowan. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren and 59 great grandchildren; a brother and sister Frank R. and Mrs. Earl (Eva) Marshall both of Panguitch. Funeral services were held in the Panguitch South Ward Chapel, with Bishop Frank H. Henrie , officiating. Family prayer was by Frank R. Daly. Prelude and postlude music by Irene McEwen. The Choir sang "I Know That My Redeemer Lives" and "Oh My Father." Invocation was by Barry M. Roth, Tribute by Roger K. Daly, Speakers were Arthur B. Evans and Monte Marshall. A piano medley was played by W. Kirk Daly. Benediction was by W. Matt Houston and dedication of the grave by Ned B. Daly. Burial was in the Panguitch City Cemetery. |
