Show State Bank to open new Kanab office , branch, Kathy Stewart will assume the post of teller. From Southern California originally, She is married to David Stewart, a saw operator at Kiabab Lumber Industries. She, too has banking experience, in Texas, California, and Utah. Following approval by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., State Bank of Southern Utah has opened a new branch in Kanab. "We are extremely pleased to be able to bring the convinience of a local bank to residents of the Kanab area," Warren Bulloch, president, said. "And we hope to continue to serve Southern Utah with home-owned, home-town service." State. Banks new Kanab office is located at 25 South Main in Kanab, utilizing the facilities just vacated by Zioh's Bank. Eldon Shmutz, cahier at the Cedar city office, said Ron Ilea ton, currently manager of the Long Valley Branch of the bank, will become super-viosr super-viosr over both the Long Valley and Kanab branches, ches. "We are also pleased to announce," Shmutz said, "that Jackie Williams will be the Assistant Manager at the Kanab Branch, and will be assisted by Kathy Stewart, both well known to the Kanab area. The new branch officially opened its doors this week. Officials also stated they will erect a new building sometime before the end of the year. Ron Heaton, a native of Alton, graduated from Valley High School and from BYU with a BS degree in polictical scienece and a MA in Public Administration. Heaton previously was employed as Director of the Six-County Economic Development District in Nephi , where he assisted with loans and financing. He has been manager in Or-derville Or-derville since November, 1975. He is the father of four boys. Taking the position of assistant manager, Mrs. Williams is a 13-year resident of Kanab and comes to State Bank with nearly 29 years banking experience. Orginally from Salina, she is married to Allen Williams Kanab High School Media Coordinaotr. They are the parents of two children, and grandparents of six.
