Show Little League Teams in District Tournament Both the Cedar American and Cedar National Little League tournament teams will be in action today, Thursday, at the District 1 tournament being held at Fillmore. Both clubs drew a bye in the opening round of play held Wednesday. Fourteen teams from throughout the southern Utah area and Nevada are participating. Cedar American League team will be the first to see action today. They are scheduled to take the field at 12 noon against the winner of the Dixie-Parowan game held Wednesday morning. For the Cedar National Little Leaguers they are slated to meet the winner of the Lincoln County Nevada and Tropic winner today at 6 p.m. Since both teams drew opening round byes a single loss will eliminate them from further action since neither will , be eligible to move into the consolation round of play. For the American Little Leaguers they have apparently drawn the tougher assignment as it is expected they will be meeting the defending champions from Dixie. However, the winner of that game today will advance to the semi-finals Friday at 4 p.m. Other teams in the upper bracket are West Zion, Milford, Tri-City (composed of a league made up of players from Kanab, Orderville and Fredonia, Ariz.), and South Sevier. For the National League it is expected that they will I likely meet Lincoln County in this second round of action. Lincoln County met Tropic in the opening round and for Tropic it is their first year of eligibility in tournament competition. Regardless the winner of today's game will play at 6 p.m. Friday in semi-final action. Other teams in the bracket include Beaver, Panguitch, Fillmore and Richfield. Rich-field. Winner of the Division 1 tournament will advance to the Utah State Playoff which will be staged at 3 p. m. in Cedar City.
