Show Cal-Pac seeks rate increase California-Pacific Utilities Company has filed a rate relief request with the Utah Public Service Commission. California-Pacific seeks to add a temporary surcharge to the electric bills of its customers in Washington and Iron Counties. The company told the com-rtKssion com-rtKssion the surcharge is needed ' "to tain the unrecovered purchased power costs" it has paid to D&ah Power and Light Company iKP&L). In its filing, California-Pacific stated that for ,?he period from June 3, 1975, to November 30, 1976, it will have paid UP&L $90,952 in increased purchased power costs that have not been passed through to customers. To recover the increase California-Pacific California-Pacific proposes to add a 4.167 percent surcharge to theelectric bills of all of its customers in Washington and Iron Counties. If the commission grants the company's request, the surcharge sur-charge will be in effect from June 1 through November 30. The electricity California-Pacific California-Pacific distributes in Washington and Iron Counties is purchasee from UP&L. California-Pacific also serves customers in Kane County; however, the electricity distributed in that area is purchased pur-chased from another source. |
