Show Ram Thinclads 'gear' for State PAROWAN The Parowan Rams track teamv traveled to Cedar City Thursday for the region track meet. Perhaps the best performance of the day for the Rams came from Tom Robinson who won the long jump with a leap of 19'lOVa". Tom is a new comer to the event and has only jumped in three meets this year. His chances in the state meet at Snow College look very good. Jon Robinson had a tough double as he placed third in the 'mile and second in the 880. Jon, hampered by illness, is looking forward to the State Competition. Mike Robinson will compete in the State meet in the 440 yard dash and will also run a leg on the 440 relay with teammates Kirk Matheson, Tom Robinson, and Curtis Mitchell. The Rams' 440 relay team has a real good chance to win the event at the state meet. Blair Bentley, a freshman who spends long houjrf of training, will compete in .(he two-mile after his new school record in the region meet:, Terry Hermansen will compete? in the high, hurdles after his fourth place finish in region competition. com-petition. The seven Ram team will travel to Snow College Saturday for the state competition. |
