As a mother whose sons had to leave home in order to find employment, I am welt aware of the need for economic development in Southern Utah and I in- tend to do all that is in my power as a legislator to encourage such development. At the same time, we must not lose sight of the unique character of our beloved area. Let us not sell our area for a "mess of pottage".
