Just returned the money and would not accept the reward. re-ward. He had simply done what he thought was the right thing to do. I thought to myself .. there just aren't many left like that anymore. As far as I'm concerned he might just as well ibeen on the plane with a gun to the pilots head demanding the ransom money. What a let down. The change in traffic flow through Cedar City's Main Street has been very evident over the past several weeks while resurfacing has been underway in the Interstate I system by-pass of the community com-munity The surge. of vehicles, particularly par-ticularly heavy truck traffic has been most noticeble and has served as a reminder as to what it once was and how nice it will be to have the Interstate In-terstate system back in operation. opera-tion. Any truck-trailer unit that has to stop at the 200 North Intersection then resume a speed south on Main Street leave pedestrians holding their ears and it has made me stop and think how nice it has been on Main Street not to have that heavy traffic going go-ing down our main Street over the past several years. - We squaked at the time the bypass was being constructed that the damage to the community com-munity would be insurmountable. insurmoun-table. That theory proved to be false. What has been proven pro-ven since the Cedar City bypass by-pass is, that the community continued to progress and that the bypass actully contributed to a much calmer and quieter atmosphere in downtown Cedar Ce-dar City. .. ,-.Jrw..j As a matter of fact it will be good to have the system open again. Frankly I won't miss that extra traffic through the middle of town. Congratulations to the cooperative co-operative effort of the Lions Club, Volunteer Fire Depart-1 ment and to the Iron Rangers for such a successful Independence Inde-pendence Day celebration in Cedar City.
