Jensen, who has taught English and German at the Cedar High School for the past ten years, and has been a leader in educational circles during that time was appointed to the position of the Principal of the Escalante Valley School by the Board of Education in meeting Monday. While teaching at Cedar High, Mr. Jensen has served as chairman of the Language Arts Department for nine years, has been Director of Dissemination for two years in connection with IFEA schools, was involved in planning plan-ning of the new high school and has been involved with many innovations at the school. Professionally he has served as president, president-elect, and second vice president of the Iron County Education Association, As-sociation, served for eight years as a board member of ICEA, board member of SUTAM and member of the executive council of the Depart De-part of Classroom Teachers of the Utah Educational Associ-. Associ-. ation. He is serving his third year on the Board of Trustees of the UEA, and served on the State Department committee commit-tee to study local schools and school systems.
