Show ! Cedar Service man dies in automobile I accident on Friday f ' '""""lltllL. ' if ""siE' " i ,$t MAJOR CHARLES SMITH Major Charles Smith, 37, son of Drusilla G. Smith and the late James H. Smith of Cedar City, was killed In an automobile auto-mobile accident recently while serving with the U. S. Army in Turkey. Major Smith was assigned to Turkey in July, 19G9. He was born Jan. 24, 1932, flnH nnHntnH in the Armu in August of 1950. He went to Korea with the Cedar City unit of the Utah National Guard, serving two tours during dur-ing the Korean Conflict. He had also served in Germany and Okinawa before his assignment as-signment this year to Turkey. Survivors include his wife, Virginia R. (Mullally) Smith of Fargo. N. D., and five children. |
