Sunday masting The Pa rowan Third Ward bishopric was reorganized on Sunday afternoon in the ward sacrament meeting, under the direction of the Parowan Stake Presidency, with President Howard D. They have served with Bishop Bentley for the past two years. The latter remained as head of the ward. Sustained as the new members mem-bers of the bishopric were Wm. LoRoy Benson, Jr. as first counselor and Wm. Glenn Farias Fari-as second counselor. Both have been and are active members of the ward. Benson is presently present-ly serving as president of the ward's elders quorum and has served as an officer in the YMMIA. Farr is a convert to the LDS Church and came to Parowan two years ago to serve as basketball coach at Parowan High School. The changes were necessitated necessi-tated by the fact that Mr. Dal-ton's Dal-ton's employment at the Mercury Mer-cury Test site near Las Vegas, Ve-gas, and now in Alaska for a time prevented him from attending at-tending to his duties as he felt he should as a member of the bishopric. Mr. Orton has purchased a home located in th e First Ward and is now preparing to move into it and out of the Third Ward. |
