Show Dr. Kent Jones dies after surgery Dr. James Kent Jones, Ceciar City physician and Chief of Staff at the Valley View Medical Med-ical Center died early Wednesday Wed-nesday morning in a Los Angeles, Calif, hospital of compltcations following- surgery. sur-gery. The 31 year old physician was affiliated with the Cedar City Clinic for the past three years and had become active in community and church affairs. af-fairs. Funeral services were pending pend-ing at publication but were expected ex-pected to be held in Cedar City Saturday, according to a fpokesman at the Spilsbury-Graff Spilsbury-Graff Mortuary. Dr. Jones was born May 31 1940 in Richfield, a son of Clifford and Ruth Jensen Jones He married Rebecca Ann Anderson, An-derson, July 21, 1963 in the Manti LDS Temple. He graduated from Sevier High School anj College of Southern Utah now Southern Utah State College in Cedar City. He received his doctorate from the University of Utah Medical School and interned at the Virginia Mason Hospital Hosp-ital In Seattle, Wash. While in military service he was assigned with the U. S. Public Health Service and worked with the Indians at Ganana, Alaska. Survivors Include his wife and three children of Cedar City and his parents, Monroe, Sevier County. ,.- , ., I .
