Show NEWS FROM PARAGONAH By Hilma Lamoreaux Mr. and Mrs. John R. Lister traveled to Las Vegas Friday to attend the funeral service for their brother-in-law, Martin Mar-tin Goodwin. They were accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Alva Gale of Beaver and Alan Lister and Miss Dixie Cannon of St. George. Mrs. Roene Lund, her daugh- ter, Gayle, and Miss Kathryn Rowley of Parowan traveled to Lander, Wyo. during spring vacation. They left for Lander ? early Wednesday, visited with the Victor Smith family of , Lander and returned home on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. J, B. Jones i and their two 'small children of Salt, Lake were here to spend the week end with the Blaine Jones family. Shanna, Richard and Linda Jolley of Cedar City were here for several days to visit with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. Revere Robinson. Sharon Shar-on Robinson came from Parowan Par-owan to be with them. Chester Robinson made a business trip to Albuquerque, N. M. last week for his employers, em-ployers, Utah Construction Co. He left here Wednesday and aeturned home Saturday. Mrs. Irene Robinson traveled travel-ed to St. George Wednesday for an overnight visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arch Lamoreaux. She came back to Cedar City Thursday in time for the celebration at the Ralph Edwards home where Mrs. Edwards was observing her birthday. Karen and Kathy Edwards accompanied their grandmother grandmot-her to Paragonah for a few days visit and Elaine Robinson Robin-son came from Parowan to join them. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Robb of Salt Lake City were Sunday visitors at the Chester Robinson Robin-son home. They were on their way back to the capitol city from a week end in Las Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Edwards and family of Cedar City visited vis-ited here at the Chester Robinson Rob-inson home Sunday. They also al-so spent some time with Ralph's mother, Mrs. Olive Ed-wards Ed-wards at the rest home in Parowan. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Barton and their five children enjoyed enjoy-ed a Sunday trip to Warm Springs, Nev. Arnold Mellor of American Fork visited here overnight Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Orson Talbot and Judy. Mr. Mellor's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mellor of Fayette were Sunday visitors at the Talbot home. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Gale and daughter, Annette, of Bea-vere Bea-vere were Saturday visitors at the Orson Talbot home. They had come to Paragonah for the Goodwin funeral. Jerold Davenport came home from Logan Thursday to visit until Tuesday with his people, the Douglas Davenport family. Jerold was enjoying the break between quarters at USU where he is attending school this year. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Davenport Dav-enport and daughter, Louise, traveled to Salt Lake City and back Friday to keep an appointment ap-pointment with Louise's doctor. doc-tor. Mr. and Mrs. Mario Stones and family of Cedar City and Mr. and Mrs. Alan Stones and children of Parowan were Sunday Sun-day visitors at the D. Amasa Stones home. Mr. and Mrs. Van Engle-stead Engle-stead and family of Tuscon, Ariz, visited here overnight Thursday with Mrs. G w e n Jones. They brought Mrs. Nellie Nel-lie Englestead back to Paragonah Para-gonah after her stay in Bountiful Boun-tiful with the Alvin Keiffer family. D. U. P. meeting will be held on March 23 at the home of Mrs. Edith Barton. The meeting meet-ing is scheduled for 2:00 p. m. and all ladies of the commun- ity are invited to attend. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Anderson Ander-son and their children of Cedar Ce-dar City were Saturday visitors vis-itors at the James H. Anderson Ander-son home. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Mor-tensen Mor-tensen and sons, Russell and Gordon of Parowan spent part ! of Saturday here with Mr. and I Mrs. Joe Lamoreaux. A number of friends and relatives traveled to Parowan Saturday to attend the funeral service for Mrs. Amelia J. Top-ham. Top-ham. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lamoreaux traveled to Beaver Sunday for a short visit with the Joe Benson Ben-son family. Mrs. Dean Robinson and two daughters of Taft, Calif, are here for a weeks visit with the H. Revere Robinsons and the Bob Miller family of Parowan. Ward conference meetings were held in Paragonah Saturday Sat-urday evening and Sunday. Stake president Howard Knight, George Grimshaw and Watson Adams attended all the meetings and stake clerk, Boyd Mitchell attended the Sunday meetings. |
