Show j Presbyterian Church i Plans Holy Week Services Rev. Grayson Gowen announces an-nounces that two special worship wor-ship services will be held at the Community Presbyterian Church this week in observance observ-ance of Holy Week. Today Is Maundy Thursday and a service of Holy Communion Com-munion will be held at 8 p. m. to observe this special day on our Christian calendar. Maundy Maun-dy Thursday gets its name from the Latin Mandare, "to command." It is the day upon which Christian Churches everywhere ev-erywhere observe Holy Com-munion Com-munion to commemorate the Last Supper of Jesus with his disciples. It was at this supper sup-per that he instituted this sacrament sac-rament by commanding them: "Do this in remembrance of me" (I Cor. 11:21). The service will be one of open communion and all who know the Lord Jesus as their Savior are welcome to attend. I The adult choir will present, a special program of Easter i music at this service and thoj offering will bo given to the One Great Hour of Sharing Fund. This is an international fund used for projects meeting human need, wherever found, in the name of Jesus Christ. Tomorrow Good Friday Services Ser-vices will be held beginning at 1:30 p. m. The nursery for children under six years will bo open for this service, and again, the public is cordially invited to attend. The annual Easter Egg hunt for pro-school children is planned plan-ned for Saturday afernoon, March 25 at 3.
