Show First Annual Tourney For Women's Association Planned The first annual tournament of the Cedar City Women's Golf Association has been slated for Tuesday and Wednesday, August 30 and 31. The tournament is an 18-hole event and golfers will play the first nine holes on Tuesday Tues-day to qualify, then finals will be held Wednesday for the second sec-ond nine holes. Scores on Tuesday will determine deter-mine flightss for Wednesday's activities. A score of 50 to 60 strokes will indicate the champion cham-pion flight while 60 to 70 strokes will be first flight and 70 strokes on up will determine the second flight. All women golfers in Iron County are invited to participate in the two day event. Entry fee is $4.00 and it must be paid at the Pro-Shop at the Painted Hills Golf Course by 4:00 p. m. Saturday, Satur-day, August 27th. Prizes will be presented in each flight for specific achievements, according to president of the Association, As-sociation, Diana Smith, and golf-' golf-' pro, Jack Hart. |
