Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING Mrs. Nola Kupfer. Mrs. Hugh Robinson had as guests this past week end her sisters, Mrs. Jim Boise of Trovo and Mrs. Lewis Lissling of Beaver Bea-ver and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Ar-leen Ar-leen Parkinson also of Beaver. During the week end they spent considerable time with Mrs. Arnold Ar-nold Parkinson who is confined to the Iron County Hospital with a broken leg. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Black invited in-vited friends to their home Saturday Satur-day evening for a most delicious buffet featuring ham and a variety var-iety of salads and relishes. Enjoying En-joying the dinner and the evening even-ing of pinochle and canasta were: Mr. and Mrs. Cam Hirchi, Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Ilirschi, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Averett, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Chamberlain, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Halsey, Mr. and Mrs. Mel Baldwin. " Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Bennett and children of Anaheim, California, Calif-ornia, spent a day with Mrs. Bennett's Ben-nett's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Draper and then continued on to Bountiful where they will spend the week with Mr. Bennett's par- ents. They plan to return to Cedar Ce-dar City for a short time before returning to the coast. Entertaining in honor of 'Mrs. George Leigh, who is leaving for Peoria, Illinois, where her husband hus-band has accepted a position, was Mrs. Tom Brown. Invited for the evening were bridge club friends and special guest, Mrs. Carl Croft. Bridge was played, refreshments served and a lovely gift presented present-ed to Mrs. Leigh as a momento of good times enjoyed by the group. Also ci tertaining at an afternoon after-noon bru'ich was Lois Higbee. Neighbor U.dies. Carol Brown and Joan Middleton joined in wishing wish-ing Mrs. Leigh happiness in her new home. Mrs. Gary Jones entertained members of the Xi Omega chap ter of Beta Sigma Phi at a morning morn-ing coffee in honor of Mrs. George Leigh, a sorority sister who is moving from Cedar Crty. The ladies la-dies enjoyed a morning of visiting visit-ing and presented the guest of honor a lovely going away gift. Mrs. Jack Wood of Salt Lake City visited last week with Mr. 'and .'.Irs. Norrat'U Ileaton and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wood. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Perkins enjoyed en-joyed a visit from their son, Er-rold. Er-rold. his wife and family last week. Following the week end the family returned to their home in Henderson, Nevada. Also at home were Betsy Lunt and Linda Corry who were wel comed by Mr. and Mrs. Lanell Lunt and Mr. and Mrs. Durrell Corry. ' Pinochle was played on Frl-iday Frl-iday evening at the home of Mrs.. Chester Barrick as she entertain-led entertain-led her club friends. Invited as a 'special guest was Mrs. Austin i Benson. Taking home the high score prizes were Mrs. Bon son. Mrs. J. V. Adams, Mrs. Humbert j Rosenberg and Mrs. Raymond Duerksen. I Mrs. AKiri Rhodes returned last week from a pleasant two weeks stay in California with her daughter. Master Ronnie Dobson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Evan Dobson, celebrated cele-brated his fourth birthday by in-Iviting in-Iviting of group of friends to his home on Monday. Games were-played were-played after which individual birthday cakes with candles glowing were blown out by each little guest. Following the opening open-ing of gifts, Ronnie gave each of his friends an Easter basket in which a fuzzy chicken was perched on a variety of Easter candies. |
