Show College Prom Plans Stress Social Atmosphere Creation The College of Southern Utah Prom with a theme "Flamingo" will be staged at the CSU Field-house Field-house on Friday, April 7, according accord-ing to Jerry Fowles. Efforts are being made by the committee to make this year's Prom one of the outstanding social so-cial events to be staged on the CSU campus and residents of the area have been extended a cordial cor-dial invitation to attend. Feature of the Prom will be the appearance of Dave Jorgenson's orchestra from Salt Lake City, to furnish music for the formal affair. Everything is being done to make the Prom a success and to create an atmosphere for enjoyment enjoy-ment and entertainment. When patrons drive to the entrance en-trance of the CSU fieldhouse, they will be received by a doorman door-man in a tuxedo and an attendant atten-dant will park the car. Patrons will be wisked under a canopy into the building where a flower-studded flower-studded lattice wih enhance the atmosphere. Myst fishes will be caught up in a tut treat will provide pro-vide a false ceiling. Around the ballroom floor will be trees entangled en-tangled with birds and hanging moss. At the entrance, a bridge will cross over a pool of watter, and in another part of the room a water-fall will shimmer with Flamingos Fla-mingos posing in its spray. Working with Fowles on the Prom committee are Cynthia Williams, JoAnn Nelson, both of Cedar City: Karlton Paxman, Lund; Marty Ricks and Margaret Mabey, Bountiful; Barbara Ann Graff, Parowan and Grant Holds-worth, Holds-worth, Lehi. Fowles is from Salt Lake City. |
