Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING Mrs. Haze Hunter entertained her duplicate bridge club last Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Dee Cowan. Guests for the evening even-ing were Mrs. Tom Evans and Mrs. Rulon Heyborne. Score prizes were won by Mrs. Grant Seeg-miller Seeg-miller and Mrs. L. V. Broadbent and Mrs. Milton Sevy and Mrs. Rulon Heyborne. Light refreshments refresh-ments were sedved by the hostess. hos-tess. A colorful smorgasbord was held on Friday evening by the 5take Seventies Quorum at the Third Ward Chapel. It was a pleasant evening spent by the members and their partners. Fol-lowing Fol-lowing the dinner, Rex Spack-man Spack-man led the group In several games which proved to be very entertaining. Specialty numbers were also introduced by Mr.j Spackman. In charge of the successful suc-cessful affair was Albert Ashman, Ash-man, chairman, with Paul Pratt, William Humpherles and Mr. Spackman assisting. Mrs. Ralph B. Piatt entertained entertain-ed the ladies of her club at her home on Tuesday evening. Special Spe-cial guests for the evening were Mrs. Evan Dohson. Mrs. Wendell Jones, Mrs. Reed Borrett and Mrs. Ralph Lamoreauy. Follow-1 Ing a delicious refreshmer t,' bridge was played with high scores won by Mrs. Richard Leigh and Mrs. Tom Evans. The MBW Club met last week at the home of Mrs. Mack Nae-gle. Nae-gle. During the afternoon Mrs. Dajwin Nelson gave the history of the Dover and Bryant families, famil-ies, which was very informative and interesting for those present. Following the biography, the hostess served a delicious luncheon. Showing slides of Wales,, and the European continent at the recent H. and H. Club meeting was T. J. Jones. The ladies en-Joyed en-Joyed seeing many beauties of the countries visited by Mr. Jones and hearing of his experiences exper-iences while on his LDS mission to the British Isles. The scene of the meeting was the home of Mr. and Mrs. Pace Webster. Hostess Host-ess for the afternoon was Mrs. Douglas Clark. Following the illustrated lecture, luncheon was served. Mrs. Claude Dix, Board Advisor, Mrs. Charles Rasmussen, chairman chair-man and Mrs. Rex Harris. Mrs. Klein Rollo and Mrs. Lowell Sherratt are busy Kiwani-Anns as they make preparations for their April meeting. The committee com-mittee has invited Mrs. W. Arthur Jones to be their guest on the: evening of April 3 to review for them the History of the Navajot Indians and to show her manyj j interesting slides. The evening i Is one that shall be very out- J standing. Mrs. Rasmussen wishes to invite all Kiwani-Anns mem- bers to set aside that evening 'and be in attendance. Mrs. Rex Hard? will be hostess to tho group at her home. The function is scheduled for 8:00 p. m., Thursday, Thurs-day, April 3. |
