Show An elderly farmer, walking along a country road, was offered of-fered a ride by a stranger in a new air-conditioned automobile. It was the old farmer's first encounter en-counter with air-conditioning. "Where are you going?" asked the driver. "Down the road about three miles to work in my tabacco field," replied the farmer. They had traveled only half a mile when he asked to get out of the car. "But why?" asked the puzzled puz-zled stranger. "I thought you were going to work on your tabacco crop." "I was," the former said, "but it's turned so much cooler, I think I'll go back borne and kill my hog." |
