Show Applications tor National Boy Scout 1964 Jamboree Now Being Accepted Floyd Loveridge, Scout Executive Execu-tive of the Utah National Parks Council, Boy Scouts of America, has announced that applications for the 1964 National Jamboree are now being accepted. All registered Boy Scouts at least 12 ars of age as of Oct. 1, 19G3, and who are First Class rank on or before July 1, 19&1, will be eligible to participate. Explorers having a minimum of six months tenure by January 1, 1964, or Explorers who have been transferred directly from a Boy Scout troop as First Class Scouts, will also be iligible. This sixth and possibly the greatest of national jamborees, will be held at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, July 17-22, under the direction of the National Council, Boy Scouts of America, and will provide an opportunity for Scouts to meet and camp with brother Scouts from many parts of the country and world. It will also help them to gain a better understanding of the principles of Scouting, a greater love for their country and appreciation of its greatness. Because of the popularity of this event and the limited number num-ber of boys who may attend, all interested Scouts and Explorers Ex-plorers must make application no later than June 15, 1963.
