CHERTL BROWN JoANN DUNCAN J Two Cedar City High School girls have been named as the winners in the annual Most Val-i Val-i uable Student Contest sponsored by the Cedar City Elks Lodge No. 1556. Announcing the winner Is J. Vurge Smith, chairman of the Elks National Foundation. The two were Miss JoAnn Duncan daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gail Duncan and Miss Cheryl Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Brown. Both are seniors at Cedar Ce-dar High School. Each year a contest is conducted conduct-ed in the area served by the Lodge, Smith stated, with winners win-ners awarded scholarships to the college of their choice. The Cedar City Elks Lodge accepts applications appli-cations for the contest from high schools throughout the area including in-cluding the counties of Iron, Beaver. Garfield and Kane. |
