Show Jaycee-Ette Parade Will Officially Launch Christmas Season in Cedar 1 Festive holiday season will be officially opened in Cedar Ce-dar City Saturday, Nov. 20, with the Codar City Junior Chamber of Commerce and the Jaycee-Ettes in charge of the activities. Santa Claus will make his first official visit of the year when he rides down Cedar City's Main Street and greets tho children in the Jaycee-Eite sponsored parade, scheduled to begin at 4:00 p. m. At tli conclusion f the parade Santa Claus will pull tho switch to turn on the Christmas Linhtin fur Cedar City, which has been erected by the Junior Chamber of Commerce and which includes many new and additional features fea-tures this year. From Saturday throughout the holiday season the Christmas Lights will burn each evening. Doll Drawing Another function of Santa Claus will be to conduct the drawing for the Jaycee-Ette Doll with the winner to be awarded a doll and doll clothing that has been sewn by the Jaycee-Ette members. This year the lighting program Includes additional fixtures In-! In-! eluding new tinfoil streamers which have been placed across Main Street and also additional imitation cedar bows. Added fixtures fix-tures for the light poles. Including Includ-ing the large plastic candles and candy canes, have purchased by jthe Jaycees to extend the light-j jing program both north andj south along the street Also all j burned out bulbs In the entire , lighting system were replaced before stringing of the lights. Special Fund Campaign Each year the Jaycees sponsor their annual fund raising project pro-ject just prior to the deer hunting season to carry on the lighting program. The fund raising project pro-ject requires many hours of service ser-vice by Jaycee members In addition addi-tion to the time and effort necessary neces-sary to set up the lighting program. pro-gram. Chairmen In charge of erecting the lighting system are Bud Bowman Bow-man and Keith Averett The fund raising project during the fall was under the direction of Ken Middleton and Garth Webster with David Melville In charge of tlHrot n1n Entlro memherahlD of the organization participated In both activities, according to Douglas Lunt, president of the club.
