Show Resident in Parowan Accorded Last Rites John Alma Taylor, 82, a resident resi-dent of the Parowan Rest Home for many years, tiled Tuesday at the Iron County Hospital of causes incident to age. Mr. Taylor Tay-lor was known by many people in the community as well as the residents at the rest home. Funeral services were held for Mr. Taylor on Friday at 1 p. m. at the Rest Home and burial was I made In the Parowan City cemetery. ceme-tery. , I S. M. Clark of the Parowan Third Ward bishopric conducted the services with Samuel B. Jones offering the Invocation. .Speakers were Joseph E. Ward and Ancil J. Adams, rest home superintendent Jess Guymon offered of-fered the closing prayer and Mr. Adams dedicated the grave in the Parowan cemetery. Musical numbers were two vocal solos rendered by Pres. Howard D. Knlght The deceased was a native of Ferron where he was born June 12, 1877 to William Taylor, Jr. and Mary Ann Slnglen Taylor and was employed at the Jack Singleton ranch for 30 years. He married Mary Ann Stan-worth Stan-worth In March, 1904 and the marriage was later solemnized In the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Survivors are a son, Denzil W., Spokane, Wash; a daughter, Mrs. William (Stella) Gibson, Ogden; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. |
