Show Red Cross Workers Review Year Iron County Chapter of the American Red Cross met in their monthly meeting Monday evening even-ing to hear a repprt of the year's activities, reorganized and made plans for the coming year. . MacRae Cloward, chapter chairman reported outstanding accomplishment during the past year in home nursing, first aid, water safety and the blood procurement pro-curement program. Dallen Williams, chairman of the first aid program, reported that 10 instructors had been trained and over 200 persons in every community of the county had received first aid Instruction , since December of 1959. Classes In first aid were held In every community of the county and In adJltlon a class was staged In Enterprise. George Barms, chairman of the blood procurement program, announced an-nounced that the bloodmoblle until will be in Cedar City in July. Plans are being formulated for a school in swimming and life saving in connection with summer sum-mer swimming program. Wlllama will attend a special swimming and life saving school this year in preparation for the course. Thomas A. Abplanalp, chairman chair-man of the junior red crass program, pro-gram, announced that two junior red cross members, one from Par-owan Par-owan and one from Cedar City, will also attend a leadership training program in Logan this summer. Cloward announced that Mrs. Mary Murdock will replace Mrs. Ella Holyoak as home nursing Chairman of the chapter intake in-take over the blood procurement program replacing George Barrus. Bar-rus. With these changes the County organization for the coming year will include: Cloward, chapter chairman; Robert White, vice chairman; board members, Loren Hirschi, Jay Monson and Tom Cardon. Secretary is Eula Gardner and Treasurer Is Ward Ross. Chairman of the chapter include in-clude Clifford Knight, fun drive; Williams, first- aid; Charles Ratte, swimming andv life saving; sav-ing; Reed Bradshaw, home services ser-vices and Mr. Abplanap, Junior red cross. l - - - . i i .i. |
