Show Women Voter League Plans Campaign To Stir Area Voters Several special activities have been planned for Cedar City In an effort to arouse voter interest in the coming primary and general gen-eral elections. Full slate of plans has been outlined by the Voter's Service Committee of the League of Women Voters under the chain. iaiiMni of Mrs. Mcrlyr.r: Barrus. Special letters have been sent to all Republican and Democratic chairmen In the 14 Cedar City and 12 Iron County voting districts. dis-tricts. These letters have issued a challenge to register and have vote the highest percentage of citizens. Results of their efforts will be publicized as the campaign cam-paign progresses. In an effort to have citizens meet and konw all of the candidates candi-dates before the general election a meeting has been planned to have each person running for, public office appear and make a statement of his particular pro; gram. Statements have already been solicited from each candidate candi-date and will appear soon. The Voter's Service Committee is in the midst of a special telephone tele-phone campaign to remind everyone whose name does not( yet appear on the rolls of the) election registration agent to register, reg-ister, according to Mrs. Barrus. |
