Show Observer cf World Affairs to Address Knife and Fork Club A veteran observer of world affairs af-fairs whose most recent long trip was to Southeast Asia and Africa just last summer will address members of the Escalante Knife and Fork Club Thursday evening even-ing at the CSU Student Center. The veteran observer is Philip Cummings who began his first position abroad as an economic observer ni i!ie League or nations, na-tions, Since that time he has circled cir-cled the globe no less than five times; lived five years In Spain, and was a resident of four continents con-tinents long enough to know what was going on there officially. official-ly. Not only hailed a? one of the platform's most traveled men, Cummings is one of the most throughly educated. His formal education includes degrees from Rollins College in Florida, Mid-dlehury Mid-dlehury College in Vermont, his mtive stste, the University of Dijon in France, and the University Univer-sity of Madrid in Spain. I While Cummings is an econ- n'-mNt, sociologist and geologist of note he has held various other important posts;, among them t'int of a government consultant during Word War 11 in the Southwest Pacific. |
