Show Planning Group Selections Mad For Elementary The committee members for the planning of the new Parowan Paro-wan Elementary School are now selected. Much time and scrutiny were used in the selections and it is felt that it was done in a very ethical an I professional manner, it is announced by Clair Morris, elementary principal. princi-pal. "Publicity," Claude Orton, Don Cartwright, Hulda Hulet, Kenti Mitchell and Audrey Gilger. . The Central Coordinating com- mittee is yet to be selected. This committee will have one member from each of the other commit tees plus two or three others from the outside. All facts and recommendations gleaned and formulated by the fact finding ! committees will be given to the J coordinating committee which in turn will relay them to the School District. The Coordinating committee w ill plan and coordinate coordin-ate all activities of the entire study. The committee members mentioned men-tioned above were selected by a group of about 35 people. The 35 who did the selecting were ITA officers, room mothers and faculty members. Every attempt was made by the group to get a cross section of the community on the committees. Criteria were developed hy the 35 to aid them in their selections. These criteria criter-ia were age, sex, occupation, availability, interest, aptitude and or experience and parenthood. parent-hood. Organizations from the community were asked to submit five names each and some of tne members were selected from the submitted names. The selections were made by secret ballot. The committees will be called together In the near future for clarification of the tasks to be completed and work will begin as quickly as possible. i |
