Show Janet Mortensen To Wed Melvyn H. Jones A wedding, which will be solemnized sol-emnized at the home of the bride's parents at 5 p. m. on Saturday, Sat-urday, Oct. 13. will unite in marriage, mar-riage, Miss Janet Mortensen of Parowan and Melvyn Howard Jones of Paragonah. The announcement an-nouncement is made by Mr. and Mrs. Ward Mortensen, parents of the bride who stale that the ceremony will be performed by Parowan Stake President, W. Clair Rowley in the presence of immediate members of both families fam-ilies and a few friends. A reception honoring the young couple will be held at the Mortensen Mor-tensen home here Saturday eve-ing eve-ing from 7:30 to 10:30 o'clock. Miss Mortensen is a senior student stu-dent at the Parowan high school where she is active in music and social affairs of the school. Mr. Jones, who is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Jones of Paragonah, Para-gonah, has attended schools in Boulder City, Nev., and graduated graduat-ed from the local high school last spring. He is now attending the Branch Agricultural college in Cedar City, where he will continue con-tinue his studies, while Miss Mortensen will continue her studies stu-dies at the Parowan school for the time being. |
